Just as the fall fishing starts to shut down in the United States the island of the long white cloud, New Zealand, begins to emerge into spring time. From October to April some of the most challenging trout fishing in the world takes place on the north and south islands of this pacific nation. While the 22 hours of travel are arduous, once the planes and rental car booths are behind you, there is a charm and appeal of the geography, wildlife and people like no other place on earth. It is our home away from home. It is our intent to head south every year with six weight rods, cameras and hiking boots until our wings stop flapping.
