Bull’s Eye—In Mono

An intimate look at a young bull’s intense gaze and combat posture as he engages other maturing bulls in practicing for future participation in the August rutting ritual of the Grand Teton’s bison, to rule his herd’s domain and pass along his genetic strength. These future battles will sometime end in the violent fatality of his opponent, providing meat for wintering wolves, grizzlies, coyotes, eagles, and foxes. His fierce countenance, fixed eyes, lowered horns, and dripping beard, foretells his pending battles and birthright.
